Our Story

How JLA Was Founded

Jewel Leadership Academy was founded in August 2025 in response to a growing need for intentional leadership development in Nigeria. At a time when leadership gaps continue to affect institutions, governance, health, education, and social progress, JLA was established to invest in a different kind of leader — one shaped by integrity, vision, service, and responsibility.

Founded by Dr. Ibrahim Obel Yaji, JLA was created with a clear conviction: the future of communities, institutions, and nations depends on leaders who are not only capable, but ethical, disciplined, and committed to the common good. Through training, mentorship, experiential learning, and evidence-based development programmes, JLA is helping shape that future one leader at a time.
